SW718H-P Pre-hardened plastic mold steel
Manufacturing Process
Electric furnace or converter smelting (EF or LD) → ladle refining (LF) → vacuum degassing (RH or VD) → argon protection ingot → multi-directional forging → high temperature normalizing + hydrogen expansion annealing heat treatment → ultrasonic pre-defect detection → pre-hardening heat treatment (quenching + tempering) → finished product inspection → qualified label storage
Applications
Various plastic molds with mirror polishing or photoetching requirements; electronic and office plastic product molds, such as: TV housing, washing machine cylinder, copier, etc.
Plastic molds for automotive interior parts, such as: bumpers, dashboards, interior door panels, engine hoods, etc.
Product Characteristics
Excellent hardness uniformity
High purity
The material is produced with a large forging ratio, and the core of the material is dense
Excellent polishing and etching performance
Pre-hardening, no quenching required, directly used in mold cavity manufacturing, shortening the mold processing cycle and reducing costs
